Overall the pattern ensures strong relationships while encouraging spiritual growth. The pattern is found on the south cross at Clonmacnoise, Co. Offaly. Clonmacnoise has been a spiritual center in Ireland for centuries. This pattern can also be found in manuscripts such as the Book of Kells.
